Mohamed is the Programme Manager at Strathmore Extractives Industry Centre (SEIC). He brings in his multi-disciplinary skills and work experience in extractives (oil, gas, mining and energy), human rights and private-public partnerships (PPP) acquired through advanced training and numerous years of practice. He is currently based in Mombasa- Kenya where he also doubles up as a Governance Advisor to the Office of the Senator – Mombasa County. Under Kenya’s new governance dispensation that has embraced devolution, Mohamed has spearheaded several initiatives with County Governments towards ensuring that value for minerals is realised at the grass-root level.

He holds an LL.M in Oil and Gas from the University of Reading where he undertook his post-graduate studies under the auspices of the prestigious Chevening Scholarships awarded by Her Majesty the Queen for recognition of his excellent academic credentials and leadership potential.
