Jade Makory holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons) from Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya; and, a Diploma in Sustainable Development Law from Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem, Budapest, Hungary. She was part of the Strathmore University Press Sales Team from August to November 2015. She was a Local Coordinator for the African Students for Liberty from June 2015 to June 2018. She also interned at the Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from April to June 2017. In August 2018, she also acted as a Research Partner and Member of the 8th AABLA (East Africa) Vetting Committee. She has been an Editor for the Argentinian online magazine, Sed Africa, since September 2014. From July 2018, she has been a Graduate Assistant at the Strathmore University Law School and the Microsoft Policy Innovation Centre aiming to pursue a career in Information Technology, Infrastructure and Energy and its implications on Economic Development and Promoting Access to Justice. She has recently completed her training and passed the requisite exam to become an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
