Law students to embark on a long Academic Trip

Excitement is in the air. The Second Year students are about to embark on their academic trip to The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany and Belgium. The students will visit the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Criminal Court (ICC), The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), The Special tribunal for Lebanon (STL), The European Court of Justice (Luxembourg) and the European Parliament in Brussels, where they will be received by a group of MPs.

The students will choose and study a current case before those tribunals and interview parties, lawyers, prosecutors, etc. and write a report which will be part of the Public International Law Course.

The group of 70 leaves on 30th March and returns to Kenya on 11th April. However, 21 students will stay in Europe and participate in the UNIV Congress in Rome from 12 to 21 April, while another small group of 4 (Fred, Yvonne, Wangechi and Evans) will travel to Hong Kong, where they will represent SLS and Kenya at the VIS Moot Arbitration competition. We wish them all the best.
