Ahmad Parpia is a graduate assistant at Strathmore University Law School, having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). He has developed a strong passion for international law, with particular interests in international humanitarian law, international criminal law, and international commercial arbitration.
Ahmad is an active member of the Strathmore University Moot Court Coordination Team and is affiliated with the Strathmore Institute of Advanced Studies in International Justice, reflecting his commitment to advancing scholarship and practice in international justice.
Ahmad has served as a legal researcher and Editor-in-Chief of the Strathmore Law Clinic’s Monthly Legal Digest, where he worked on intellectual property law, data protection, and dispute resolution topics for SMEs. His research and writing have been featured on Record of Law, and he co-authored a chapter on refugee perspectives from Africa, published in the Elgar Encyclopedia of Equality and Discrimination Law. He has also gained practical legal experience through internships at the Nakuru Law Courts and Jafarali & Company Advocates, and contributed as a note-taker at the ICRC’s first African Data Protection in Humanitarian Action Symposium.
Ahmad is passionate about legal research, legal writing, and mentorship, and is dedicated to supporting the academic and scholarly development of students within the Strathmore Law School.
