Anne Kotonya is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) and a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from the University of Nairobi. She was Legal Advisor at Strathmore University from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, Anne was involved in curriculum development, research projects and international partnerships under the Strathmore Executive Legal Education Program. She also tutored Business Law courses.

She has previously undertaken commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution at Akide and Company Advocates as well as engaged in human rights training and advocacy relating to workers’ rights and prisons reforms at the Kenya Human Rights Commission.

Anne is a member of the East Africa Law Society and the Advisory Council of the civic education bodyUraia Trust. Her interests include access to justice, commercial law, legal education and legislative drafting.
