John is a data scientist with a demonstrated history of working on projects that utilize data to transform the lives of people. He received his master’s degree of Big Data from AIMS, Senegal in 2019 and immediately joined CIPIT in Strathmore University as an IT Assistant. During his studies, John was actively involved in the Statistics and Mathematics Clubs, where he participated in initiatives to coach mathematics in high schools in an effort to create a stronger mathematical community and culture of mathematics across Africa.

John has a keen interest in the state-of-the-art data mining and machine learning techniques in law, medicine, and epidemiology and food security. He is currently working on CYRILLA project developing a database for digital rights in Sub-Sahara Africa. He also provides IT support to other projects.
