In 2012, we opened our doors for the first ever cohort of Strathmore Law School (sls) students.

Since then, Strathmore Law School  has grown in leaps and bounds to become a leading law schools in Africa and the world.

This year, we celebrate a decade of many milestones and especially, providing excellence in legal education and research, guided by a commitment to pursue justice, to cultivate lawyers of professional competence and moral conviction, and to be the region’s hub for change agents, in line with our mandate. 

In the past 10 years, we have churned out graduates who are competent and ready for the legal profession and created a crop of brilliant lawyers who are making a real difference in Africa and globally.

Our student body has exhibited a zeal and vibrance to be the best in and out of the classroom. By their success, they have placed Strathmore University at the top of national, continental and global platforms in Moot competitions; competing with top law schools such as Harvard and brought home many trophies. We have launched a world class LL.M program, partnered with the leading law firms in the region to improve access to justice for disenfranchised peoples and most importantly, inculcated the values of ethical practice and integrity.

Guidelines
    • All team captains will be required to register their teams and their desired team name and provide the names of the team members using the form below.
      • Registration fee for participation in the tournament is Kshs 2,000/- per team payment details below:

    • The winning team gets the SLS@10 ‘5-A-Side’ football trophy.
    • Fans are welcome.
    • Food and refreshments will be provided for the players.
    • The match fixtures and timings will be shared with the team captains on the email address provided at registration.

    A DECADE OF SLS: AMAZING RACE

    Celebrating a decade since the founding of the Strathmore Law School

    Date: Friday 22nd July 2022
    Venue: Karura Forest
    Time: 7:30 am – 11:00 am

     

    Strathmore Law School is delighted to invite members of the SLS Fraternity i.e., its partner institutions, alumni, staff and students to the SLS @ 10 Amazing Race at the Karura Forest, Limuru Road, Nairobi.This will be part of a series of events celebrating the journey of SLS since its inception 10 years ago, and in anticipation of the coming decade.

    The event shall entail a morning of fun, games and fitness in the style of the worldly-acclaimed Amazing Race, with numerous activities challenging the teamwork, endurance, speed and agility of all participants, as well as giving a chance to the different stakeholders to interact in a laid-back setting.

    Guidelines
    1. Each team shall comprise of 4 members (With a team captain) from the same class of participants i.e., law firm teams, alumni team, student team.
    2. Team captains will be required to register their teams in their desired team name and provide the names of the team members below:
    3. Team categories: Each team shall be required to register through their team captain and pay a registration fee as indicated below.

      Celebrating the 10 th anniversary of the founding of the Law School

      Strathmore Law School together with the SU Alumni Association are delighted to invite all SLS Alumni to a first Reunion and the launch of the SLS Alumni Chapter. Alumni are invited to join us for dinner and the launch.

      The event marks 10 years since SLS began the journey of preparing law students for work and impact in society. We will be celebrating the success of the last 10 years and looking forward to the next 10 together with those who have been on the journey with us. As we mark 10 years, we aim to connect fellow alumni across multiple years and various experiences. The culmination of this interaction will be the official launch of the Law Chapter of the SU Alumni Association.

        Celebrating the 10th anniversary since the founding of the Strathmore Law School

        Strathmore Law School is delighted to invite all Partners, SLS Alumni, Staff and Students to the 10th Anniversary celebrations to celebrate the milestones of the past 10 years and to set the ground for the next ten years.

        The event marks 10 years since SLS began the journey of preparing law students for work and impact in society. As we mark 10 years, we aim to celebrate with our partners, staff alumni and students to connect with each other and share our various experiences. The event will have a fireside chat involving the different demographics of people connected to SLS and end with a cocktail event as well.

        Come join in the celebration and in the next step towards a second decade of the Law School.
